Meet the Veterinarians & Team of Countryside Animal Hospital in Mt Juliet, TN! We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets!

Dr. Robert Parsley, originally from Eastern Kentucky, graduated from Auburn University Veterinary School in 2003, and shortly thereafter moved to Mount Juliet. He opened Countryside Animal Hospital in 2007. He and his wife Cathy have two dogs and two cats. He enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.
Cathy is from central Kentucky and has called Mount Juliet home for almost twenty years. She began her career as a human nurse and now assists in running the clinic’s daily operations and behind-the-scenes work. Dr. Parsley and Cathy attend First Baptist Church Mount Juliet. Her favorite time of year is Kentucky Basketball season. Go Wildcats!
Dr David Lewis, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, graduated from Auburn University Veterinary School in 2009 and joined our practice in 2013. His family has three dogs and three cats. He enjoys woodworking, fishing and being outdoors.
Dr Kaitlyn Zaino, originally from New York, graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she went back to New York and worked in shelter medicine and general practice until recently when she and her husband moved to Tennessee with her two rescue cats, Milton and Grace. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, kayaking and cooking.
Dr Lacher grew up in southern California, then moved to Tennessee in high school. He went to the University of Tennessee Vet School and graduated in 2017. He has practiced in the Middle Tennessee area for the past few years. He has an Australian Shepherd mix named Logan and a Ball Python named Monty. In his spare time he enjoys reading sci-fi/fantasy, playing video games, fencing, and watching TV/movies.
Debbie had been with the Countryside family since 2009. She passed away March 27, 2024 after her battle with cancer. She always had a smiling face to greet clients as they entered our clinic, and she was dearly loved by all our staff. We will miss her.
Kayla joined us in 2014. Though now a receptionist and administrative assistant, she has several years of experience in various roles of the veterinary field. She is from Lebanon and has a Bachelors in Animal Science from MTSU. She and her husband have a cat and two daughters. She enjoys camping, organization, sewing/crafting, and reading. What Kayla enjoys most about working at Countryside is that everyone is treated like family: with compassion and kindness.
Amanda joined our receptionist team May 2021. She is originally from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She graduated from UT Knoxville. She and her husband have a son and two dogs. In her spare time she enjoys baking, playing with her son and indulging in some retail therapy. The best part of working here is meeting all the new pets and their owners.
Jackie joined our receptionist team February 2022. She is a local girl from Gladeville and is currently attending the Art of Life School for Yoga Alliance. She has three dogs, three cats, six horses and helps care for a herd of barn cats. When not working she enjoys yoga, coaching cheer/dance for her sons football team and going on random adventures/car shows with her family. The best part of working at Countryside is everyone respects and loves each other like a big family.

Erin has been with Countryside since opening day in 2007 as a veterinary technician. Her primary roles are to train our assistants and maintaining our laboratory equipment. She is originally from Maryland and moved to Mt. Juliet in the early ’90s. Erin has a Bachelor’s in Animal Science from MTSU. Erin owns seven cats and two dogs, as well as caring for strays around her home. She enjoys gardening/landscaping and shopping. Erin is very much a cat person and loves caring for them here at Countryside.
Sue has also been with Countryside since our opening in 2007. Her primary roles are surgical assistant and caring for our clinic cats. She is originally from Washington state. Sue currently has five cats and loves playing with them, reading, and shopping (especially online). Sue is a cat fanatic and caring for them is her favorite thing to do at Countryside.
Jessica has been with Countryside since August 2017. She is from Nashville and attended Wilson Central High School. She has an American Bulldog who she enjoys taking to dog parks as well as a bearded dragon named Jared. In her spare time she also enjoys watching Netflix and canoeing. She enjoys working with her teammates and learning new skills here at Countryside.
Ashley joined our team of assistants July 2022. She is originally from Nashville and attended Animal Behavior College and is a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She has four dogs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, cuddling with her doggies and cooking big family meals. Countryside enables Ashley to do what she went to school for and she loves that there are always learning opportunities available in our hospital.
Hillary began as an assistant July 2022 and is from Lebanon. She has five cats, two dogs and a hamster. In her spare time she enjoys cuddling her cats, going to Nashville Predators games, going on Target runs and spending time with her boyfriend. What she likes most about working here is there is always something new to learn and she loves helping all the animals.

Tina started working with us in July 2019. She began as a technician and transitioned to the kennel staff and loves it! Most of Tina’s adult life was spent as a restaurant manager, but she wanted to slow down a bit and do something more from the heart. She has six dogs, most of which are rescues. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, fishing, cooking/baking, and spending time with her two grandsons. Tina likes the companionship with the four–legged friends in her care, as well as the two–legged ones!
Cherrianna joined our kennel staff February 2020. She is from Hermitage and was homeschooled. She has a cat and a dog. In her spare time she likes to read, cook/bake and see her friends. The part she enjoys most about working here is socializing with our clients and their pets.
